GEAC Award Nominations

The GEAC Awards are intended to honor higher education professionals in Georgia who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields. In making its selections, the GEAC Awards Committee will look for consistent service and specific examples of outstanding performance and commitment in the field of higher education advancement. Please be sure to note significant contributions and accomplishments that have yielded positive results for the nominee’s office, institution and respective field. First consideration will be given to candidates who have not previously won a GEAC Award. Award nominations for the 2024 GEAC Conference are due by Friday, October 11, 2024 at 11:59pm.

Individual Recognition Awards (total of 4)

These awards are reserved for those who have served at least five years in field of higher education.

  • Marketing and Communications
  • Fundraising/Development

Outstanding Newcomer Award

This category is meant to honor higher education professionals who have served less than five years in the field of higher education.

Overall Institutional Excellence in Advancement Award

This is a staff award presented to institutions demonstrating outstanding achievement and commitment to the field of higher education advancement.

*When appropriate, a Lifetime Achievement Award may be granted by the GEAC Board of Directors.
