About GEAC
Incorporated in 1972, the Georgia Education Advancement Council (GEAC) fosters the development of higher education advancement professionals in Georgia through information, collaboration and inspiration. Originally named the Georgia Education Advancement Conference, the name changed to include Council in 1976. More than 120 people from 32 schools attended the first formal GEAC conference in 1977, and a tradition was born that continues today. In 2000, GEAC became a 501(c)6 organization and a legal corporation in the state of Georgia. GEAC is the only association in Georgia focused on innovative strategies and practices for leadership in higher education advancement services.

Since our founding in 1972, Georgia Education Advancement Council (GEAC) has been committed to delivering high-quality professional development opportunities for higher education advancement professionals across public, private, and technical colleges and universities throughout the state. GEAC serves those working in the areas of advancement services, alumni relations, development, and marketing and communications.
