2024 GEAC Conference

Embrace the Waves

We invite higher education advancement professionals to join us for the 2024 GEAC Annual Conference at the Jekyll Island Convention Center on November 18-20, 2024.

You will meet over 200 professionals in the fields of advancement services, alumni, development, and marketing and communications, in addition to higher education industry leaders and vendors.

Since our founding, GEAC has strived to provide affordable professional development opportunities for Georgia’s higher education advancement community. Whether you work in Georgia’s public university or technical college system or for one of our state’s many private colleges and universities, attending the annual conference will help you to serve your institutions better.

Your experience at the 2024 GEAC Annual Conference will include keynote speakers, interactive sessions and engaging presentations in which to glean new ideas as you set out to lead, change and transform. The conference offers several ways to network, become aware of vendors and consultants who can assist with creating a host of opportunities in the world of higher education advancement.

Registration

Registration includes all pre-conference workshops, welcome keynote and reception on Monday, Nov. 18, all sessions and meals on Tuesday, Nov. 19 and Wednesday, Nov. 20, and exhibit hall pass.

  • Individual Conference Registration - $475 each (plus taxes and fees)

  • GEAC Group Rate (5 or more attendees) - $425 each (plus taxes and fees)

*The registrant will need to have all attendees’ information, including name, job title, affiliation, conference attendance, years of advancement experience, meal attendance, and special dietary needs.

*Pay by check is an option at checkout within Whova.

Lodging

Once registration is confirmed, each attendee will receive the link for lodging at the Westin Jekyll Island Beach Resort in the confirmation email.

  • $179/night (plus tax and fees)

  • *Please note the $35 resort fee included during checkout will be adjusted to a discounted $10 resort fee.

The Marriott website was unable to make this adjustment, but your group will only pay the $10 resort fee.  The Island View rate is $179 + $35 = $214. Rates are correct.

Whova App

Download the Whova app from the App Store or Google Play before arriving to the conference. Sign up using your email (the same email you used to register for conference) or your social media account. You will check in to the conference using the Whova app. Please ensure you have it ready to ensure a seamless check-in process.

Within Whova, you can:

  • View the event agenda and plan your personal schedule
  • Explore the profiles of event speakers and attendees
  • Find who else is attending and reach out to people ahead of time
  • Send messages and exchange contact info
  • Network and find attendees with common affiliations, educations, shared networks, and social profiles
  • Access documents and slides shared by organizers and speakers
  • Post pictures
  • Receive update notifications from the organizers
