POSITION SUMMARY

Georgia Southern University - Savannah Campus
Office of Alumni Relations. The Coordinator of Alumni Relations for the Armstrong campus in Savannah, plans and implements programs and projects that strategically engage alumni in strengthening programs and provide tangible benefits to alumni, constituents and current students. The work schedule will include many nights and weekends as well as occasional holidays, when the university is otherwise closed. The position also includes limited regional travel with occasional overnight travel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Secures commitments from alumni which provide professional expertise and volunteer service.
  • Collaborates with colleagues in the administrative offices (including, but not limited to Admissions, Development, and Athletics) and the colleges to create and maintain pathways for alumni participation that advance the goals of the University.
  • Serves as a liaison to the alumni body to keep them connected to each other and the University through general correspondence, social media, emails, cultivation and invitations to events, etc.
  • Assist other University Advancement staff (as needed) with events, projects and activities.
