The Assistant Director of Annual Giving Programs reports to the Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Relations. The purpose of this position is to make visits and secure annual contributions in support of the strategic priorities of the college from parents/family members of GGC Students, regional companies and community members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Grows regional philanthropic support for GGC through personal visits and solicitations, targeted campaigns and special events

  • Develops and executes comprehensive fundraising strategies targeting regional businesses, GGC families and community members

  • Visits, qualifies, cultivates, and manages a portfolio of community and family Annual Giving prospects with capacity and affinity to give. Special focus on solicitations, retention, upgrades to and within both the President’s and Scholar’s Circle gift levels. Contacts donors and prospects through personal visits, email and by phone, as necessary

  • In collaboration with other campus units, builds and leads GGC Family Council including identifying, recruiting, training, and directing volunteer leadership

  • Develops and executes strategies to engage with and raise funds from qualified prospects who are parents/family of current and former GGC students. Manage the activities of the Family Council, as well as any events, to cultivate parent/family donors

  • Makes solicitation visits to secure financial support of GGC through the following programs: Corporate Affiliates Program, Annual Events Sponsorship Program, Annual Events Patron Program, and others as assigned. Also leads and executes these programs, as assigned

  • In collaboration with the Executive Director of Individual Engagement, Director of Development and designated academic unit staff, plans and executes activities and meetings for assigned academic advisory boards. Also, identifies potential members for such boards through community and parent/family cultivation activities

  • In coordination with the Director of Advancement Services, regularly refers and moves prospects and donors to staff assigned major gift responsibilities

  • Assists in establishing short and long-term departmental goals, along with managing assigned student workers to support programs

  • Performs other duties, as assigned
